Water jet laser processing is a method that uses water as a medium to transmit laser to the processing point for laser machining. Recently, near-infrared light propagates through a water jet with a diameter of 30 micrometers and reaches the workpiece. 〇 High-quality burr-free cutting 〇 Minimal thermal impact due to the use of water as a medium 〇 No need for focus adjustment 〇 High aspect ratio cutting 〇 Deep micro-drilling 〇 Wide process window We have successfully matched with high-power IR lasers and developed a new method to combine with high-performance fiber lasers. This method reliably couples multi-kilowatt IR laser beams without damaging the water jet nozzle, enabling ultra-high aspect ratio cutting of aluminum over 2 mm thick using a small nozzle of 50 micrometers.
